Kaatera Box Office Collection: Darshan's Film Crosses 100 Crores In The First Week
Kaatera Box Office Collection: "Kaatera," an action-packed Kannada drama directed by Tharun Sudhir and produced by Rockline Venkatesh, features Darshan, debutant Aradhana Ram, and Jagapathi Babu. Set against an agrarian backdrop in 1970s Hampi, the film delves into pressing societal issues. "Kaatera" premiered in theatres on December 29, 2023.
Tharun Sudhir first unveiled the film on February 16, 2022, marking Darshan's birthday, offering minimal details. Originally slated for production under Umapathy Srinivas Gowda, the project faced a shift. Rockline Venkatesh stepped in and officially announced the film with a poster on the same date.
The poster, showcasing a dog guiding a flock of sheep, generated considerable excitement about the film. Subsequently, director Tharun Sudhir confirmed veteran actor Jagapathi Babu's inclusion as the antagonist. Additionally, the team welcomed newcomer Aradhana Ram, daughter of the beloved actress 'Kanasina Rani' Malashree, on board for a role.
On February 26, 2023, a year after the initial announcement, the film's makers unveiled the title and first look, marking Darshan's birthday. Titled "Kaatera," the project draws inspiration from the revered deity Kaateramma, known across Karnataka. Co-written by Jagadeesh Kumar Hampi, acclaimed for Guru Shishyaru (2022), the project also enlisted the expertise of renowned dialogue writer Maasti. Celebrating his birthday on March 17, 2023, popular actor Kumar Govind joined the project, with the announcement accompanied by the release of a poster.

According to the latest reports, in a record-breaking achievement, the film "Kaatera" has stormed into the 100 crore club within an astounding seven days since its release. Garnering a staggering 104.58 crore in earnings and an impressive 52.77 lakh footfalls, this feat underscores the immense success and resounding reception the movie has received. The rapid ascent of "Kaatera" to this elite club in such a short span is a testament to its widespread popularity and overwhelming support from audiences.

Kaatera Cast And Crew
The movie features Darshan portraying Jeevan, with Aradhana Ram in the role of Prabhavathi, Jeevan's wife. Jagapathi Babu, Kumar Govind as Mahadevanna, Shruti, Biradar as Chongla, and Master Rohit as Puttaraju complete the cast ensemble.
The music is composed by V. Harikrishna, with Sudhakar managing the cinematography and S. Raj, along with K. M. Prakash, taking charge of the editing.
