'Max' Premise

Inspector Arjun Mahakshay confronts the minister's son as he perpetrates violence against police officers, leading to his arrest. However, the situation escalates dramatically when the minister's son dies during the altercation.

Sudeep's collaboration with Kalaipuli Thanu was officially announced in May 2023, following his previous release, Vikrant Rona, almost a year prior. The film, initially rumoured to be a remake of the 2021 Telugu hit Krack, itself inspired by the 2018 cult film Tagaru, was confirmed through a teaser released in July 2023. Directed by debutant Vijay Karthikeyaa with music by B. Ajaneesh Loknath, the cast includes Samyuktha Hornad and Varalaxmi Sarathkumar, who reunite with Sudeep after their last collaboration in Manikya. Filming commenced in July 2023, primarily in Mahabalipuram, featuring action sequences co-directed by Chetan Dsouza and Kevin Kumar of Jailer fame. Despite interruptions due to the Chennai floods, filming resumed, with all action sequences completed by May 2024.
