Not UI (UI The Movie) Or Max, But THIS Kannada Film Set Record For Highest Ticket Sales In Advance Booking

While many might wonder that Kannada movies do not get the deserved hype over its content, this misunderstanding is broken with the release of UI and Max. Both of the films were released this month and have been garnering positive response in terms of numbers at the box office. Although the movies generated much buzz, they have not emerged to become the one movie that beat all others when it comes advance booking ticket sales. Can you guess which movie that is? Which Kannada Movie Set Record For Highest Ticket Sales?

UI shattered multiple box office records by having 75k advance bookings in its kitty, the Upendra starrer film was expected to cross 1 lakh before the release, but the real numbers much bigger than that. On the other hand, Max has also the numbers close to lakhs ahead of the release, and it was around 80k. Later, according to Sacnilk, the movie has surpassed 2 lakhs before the release.

Now comes the box office stunner! It is Darshan starrer Kaatera which smashed all the box office records by becoming the movie to have highest number of advance booking in record. Kaatera, which was released on December 29, last year, had 60k advance booking, however, after the release the numbers were in lakhs.

2. Max- 208.71K

3. UI- 205.9K

Kaatera minted Rs. 216 Cr in 2023 and emerged to be the highest-grossing Kannada film of the year. The movie, which was made on a budget of Rs. 45 Cr, stars Darshan Thoogudeepa, Aradhana Ram, Shruti, Jagapathi Babu, Kumar Govind, and Vaijanath Biradar, among others. It was directed by Tharun Sudhir.
