Upendra's UI: 'UI' is an upcoming Kannada film penned and directed by Upendra, who also leads the cast opposite Reeshma Nanaiah. The movie boasts supporting roles from Murali Sharma, Sunny Leone, Nidhi Subbaiah, Murali Krishna, and Indrajit Lankesh. Produced by Lahari Films and Venus Entertainers.

In the mid-2000s, Upendra crafted the storyline for 'UI,' marking his eleventh directorial venture and the first since Uppi 2 (2015). Despite reaching the final stages of filming, the makers remained tight-lipped about the film's theme and plot, describing it as an "entertaining yet socially significant subject." In a June 2023 interview with the Bangalore Times, Upendra expressed his vision for UI, aiming to create a visually distinct and'surrealistic' world. Reports suggest the film was crafted with a budget of ₹100 crore.

The movie commenced its journey on June 3, 2022, with the revelation that the title 'UI' signifies the mark worn on the forehead. G. Manoharan's Lahari Films and K. P. Sreekanth's Venus Entertainers helm the film's production. Additionally, reports suggest the film will release not only in Kannada but also in Telugu, Tamil, Hindi, and Malayalam.

Superstar Kiccha Sudeep recently shared the much-anticipated first look of the film 'World of UI' on his Twitter handle. Revealed during a lavish event in Bangalore, the teaser was unveiled in the presence of esteemed figures such as renowned producer Allu Arvind and the iconic Century Star Shiva Rajkumar. The grand reveal was live-streamed across major platforms, generating a significant global buzz. Within two hours, the teaser amassed more than 6,00,000+ views.

The movie features a cast comprising Upendra, Reeshma Nanaiah, Sunny Leone, Murali Sharma, Neetu Vanajakshi, Murali Krishna, Indrajit Lankesh, Nidhi Subbaiah, Om Sai Prakash, Prashanth Sambargi, Bheema, Cockroach Sudhi, Guruprasad, Pavan Acharya, and Ravichandra.

The film's music is composed by B. Ajaneesh Loknath. Shivakumar, known for his work in the KGF film series and Salaar: Part 1 - Ceasefire, joins as the art director. Deepu S. Kumar takes charge as the film's editor, while Prajwal handles cinematography.
