I seriously doubt whether Doddmane Hudga is directed by Soori because it is unlike any film that has been directed by him. Soori is known for his raw story and near flawless screenplay but Doddmane Hudga is something which he hasnt done, AN OUT AND OUT ENTERTAINER.
Personally, the premise was wafer thin and the screenplay at times is too brittle, could have been much more than the final outcome and gets lethargic but 80 of the movie is an entertainer and presumably, that is what Soori wanted and seeing Puneeth in all his glory, it was literally a moment where I felt like ripping off my t shirt.
Puneeth Rajkumar yet again, says out loud to the world that hes a SHOWMAN and it is a treat watching him on-screen. Looks extremely handsome on-screen. I couldnt stop but drool seeing the real POWER STAR on-screen after a long long long long long time. Doddmane Hudga kanraley, rakthadalle kale ide. Ambreesh and Puneeth gel in well and it was good seeing them on-screen while Radhika Pandit has turned a hottie.
The stunt sequences could have been cut down and concentrated more on the premise because there were 6 of them or I actually lost count of them but they executed with a thumping effect. The first stunt sequence literally was a fanboy moment, Rana Mass.
Technically strong and the first song has been shot superbly. An out and out entertainer is what DMH is and watch it for Puneeth Rajkumar, in all his glory.
