As a whole Jatta is a different movie. It is a must watch for the people, who crib that there is no good movies in Kannada.
A simple idea can be made into a complicated film, but what makes a film stand out is when complicated ideas are made understandable onscreen. With just a handful of characters, Jatta dabbles with and intertwines various topics like feminism, male chauvinism, religious intolerance, adultery, Ambedkar-isms, corruption and cultural beliefs; all of which are dealt with in a simple yet engrossing narrative.
A newbie showing so much of dexterity in direction and including variety of topics in the film is rarely found. Giriraj who showed his intelligence in 'Naviladavaru' made in just Rs.35000 has come to stay strong in the Kannada cinema field as director.
