Amrutha Dhaare is a mega hit in Sandalwood country.The super hit had Avinash, Bhavya, Dhyana and Ramya in the lead. Bollywood superstar Amitabh Bachchan too played a cameo in the movie.

Nagathihalli Chandrasekhar is the director and the producer of the movie. Music was composed by Mano Murthy.

Ramesh Aravind recently received the Best Script Writer award for the movie. Sri Raghavendra Chitravani presented the award to him. After receiving the award Ramesh let out the secret behind the script of Amrutha Dhaare. He revealed that Amrutha Dhaare was inspired by Eric Segal's Love Story.
