TV star Malavika Avinash Zee Kan. Head

Bangalore (UNI): Zee Kannada today announced that renowned television star Malavika Avinash would be the Channel's new programming head. In her new role, Malavika would be responsible for creating a programme mix that would be unique to the Channel, a Zee Kannada release here said. Popularly known as Madhavi Patel,' the role she played in the most popular television serial Mukta,' Malavika had also donned the grease paint for several other tv serials, including the state award-winning teleseries Maya Mruga,' directed by T N Seetaram.

She had also performed in the Tamil serial Anni directed by popular director K Balachander. With over two decades of experience in the tinsel town, Malavika also hosted a talk show, agni, and a classical dance show takadhimita.
