The
mounting
of
the
film
Police
Story
Part
II
on
the
Varamahalakshmi
day
had
seen
all
those
who
worked
for
first
part
of
Police
Story
merrily
spending
time
at
Kanteerava
studio.
The
protagonist
of
the
Police
Story
Saikumar
disclosed
that
one
Police
Story
has
been
the
credit
card
for
him
for
the
last
10
years
and
he
wished
the
second
part
would
be
a
credit
card
for
coming
20
years.
His
aspiration
is
good.
But
in
the
last
10
years
all
the
team
members
have
spread
out.
Does
he
want
now
that
separation
for
20
years
now
is
the
question
asked
by
a
police
constable
who
over
heard
Saikumar
speaking.
Saikumar, J.G.Krishna, S. S. David, Thriller Manju, Gurumurthy, Rockline Venkatesh, Shobaraj, Saikumar's father who played the chief minister role were seen at the muhurut function. The veterans who acted in the first part Lokanath and Girija Lokesh are also playing important roles in this sequel.
What is God sent gift is that none of the stars and technicians of the Police Story made in 1996 have kicked their bucket in 10 years.
Made in shoestring budget of Rs.22 lakhs the part I earned Rs.1.80 crore for the producer team. Police Story was termed as the commercial pattern of Ardh Sathya. In Telugu, Tamil and Hindi the film was dubbed. Now it requires more than Rs.2 crores for shaping up the film to the theatres now.
The black tiger in the last scene of the Police Story played by Shobaraj was sentenced to death. He escapes from the prison is the take off of the film. The fighters from Hongkong are roped in for this film for two mind blowing stunt sequences says Thriller Manju who has written the screenplay and also direct the film.
