The Miss California girl Sowmya had so much passion for working in Kannada films. The American girl told the media that money was not important to her and whenever she came to Bangalore she would accept film assignments as a passion.
'The only condition is that I should have some free time. And I should have a good role' Sowmya had declared in a press conference.
But these sweet words turned sour for director G.K. Mudduraj who opted for her in his new film Sneha Parva. The film has lot of new faces including Sowmya who has just completed working in one film. Mudduraj thought that he should be a complete professional and offered her an advance of Rs. 20,000 which was gladly accepted by Sowmya.
Only after giving the advance to Sowmya, he came to know from others that the committed amount to Soumya is too high. But I didn't want to go back on my words' says Mudduraj.
Sowmya then started behaving as though she is a big star and started demanded money. She has this habit of sleeping in the afternoons when there will be a busy schedule for shooting. Her sleeping habit was first explained as of Jet Lag, but it did continue for too long.
Her sleeping habit also disturbed the shooting schedules and Mudduraj was understandably upset. He criticized Sowmya many a times, but she was only a good listener, but refused to learn anything.
When the whole Kannada film industry is discussing about the high rate of remuneration for stars, it is rather surprising that a new girl who was introduced in films and who had promised to act free is now demanding nearly Rs. 1.40 lacs for acting in just fifteen days for the film.
