Ambarish meets with an accident

Well-known actor and congress MP Ambarish is known to have met with an accident last evening (around 10 PM) when the vehicle he was driving punctured at the divider and crashed against a tree.

Though the details of the accident are not known, Ambarish apparently is safe and did not sustain any major injuries.

Ambarishs first lead role was in Inspector Amarnath but his first successful movie as a hero was Antha (1980), made by his friend Rajendra Singh Babu. The film was a run away hit and a new star was born. Hits like Chakravyuha, Ranganayaki, Shubamangala, and Masanada Hoovu, which got him the State Best Actor Award. Films close to his heart are Ranganayaki and New Delhi.

Ambrish had recently submitted his resignation letter to Congress president Sonia Gandhi from the MP's post over the Cauvery water issue when the government decided to release water to Tamil Nadu.
