K.P Purnachandra Tejaswi passes away

K.P Purnachandra Tejaswi, son of celebrated poet Kuvempu, has passed away. He died of a heart attack today in his hometown Mudigere, Chikamangaluru. He was 69 years old. He followed in his fathers footsteps and took writing. He was a novelist who wrote five novels - Karwalo, Chidambara Rahasya, Kidiyoorina Gayyaligalu, Krishnegowdana Aane&Mayaloka. He was known for his commitment to the village lifestyle. The subjects of his novels. He chose to be around nature - something that his father Kuvempu wrote about a lot in his poems.

The subjects in his novels were village based like the people and the enviroment that he surrounded himself with. He was compared to Columbian novelist Gabriel Garcia Marquez because of the latters inclination to village life and nature. He owned a coffee estate in his hometown. He was a science, bird, photography and environment enthusiast. He shunned publicity and stayed away from the public eye.
