Mahi in Pooja's shoes

Director Vishnukanth has roped in a new actress Mahi for his upcoming film Ganga Cauvery. The role was supposed to be played by Pooja Gandhi, but she backed out of the project due to date problems. Mallika Kapoor plays the other female lead. The movie, being produced by Venkatappa, casts his son Akshay in the lead.

The movie also casts Thara, Roopa Devi, Ananthnag, Bhavya, Ganesh Kasargod and B. Ganapathi. K. Kalyan helms music and H.C. Venu cranks the camera. The movie is expected to begin shooting on October 21st, in the Himalayas.
