Priya Hasan directing Jambada Hudugi

She is not related to Kamal Hasan or Suhasini but she is a fan of these two great actors. Priya Hasan is now the leading actress and director of film Jambada Hudugi. Priya started training in dancing and had many stage performances. Then she was selected to play the lead in Kannada film Black and White which had actor Rajesh Ramanath in the hero's role.

She also acted in a Tamil film Unakkaaga Naan. Her brother Mohan Gowda became producer and helped her launch Jambada Hudugi - a film based on a story by writer Nanjundappa. With the her brothers help and blessings from her mother, Priya reluctantly accepted the challenge and made her directorial debut.

Priya says that she had received full co-operation from all the artists and technicians of the film. She is particularly happy with the experience she had with the cast, crew and technicians encountered during the post-production work of the film. She had the expertise of some good technicians like Editor Janardhan and fight composer Kourava Venkatesh on her side.

As an actress, Priya feels that she had learnt lot of things. She has performed all the fight sequences of the film without the help of a stunt actor.
