Santha stormed the theatres

Kannada film industry is on fire these days with a few big films competing at the box-office. Many were of the opinion that Shivaraj Kumar's latest release Santha would not make a good opening, as Mungaru Male and Duniya are still going strong at the theatres. But it stormed the theatres like a bolt from the blue. It made a fantastic opening, baffling many industry analysts.

Santha was welcomed everywhere. It opened extremely well at all centres in the state. It is said that around five thousand people thronged outside Narthaki theatre on the opening day of the film. In Hospet, the first show started at 7.am and people just couldn't stop talking about it. It is a gangster film with Bollywood actress Aarti Chhabria and Shivaraj Kumar in the pair. K.P. Srikanth and R. Vijayakumar produced it on Best Cinema Company Enterprises banner with S. Muralimohan as the director. Gurukiran scored the music and Ramesh Babu handled the camera.

Meanwhile, Shivaraj Kumar is back from Switzerland after completing the shooting of the song sequences for his latest film Sathya In Love. It has cheerful Tamil and Telugu actress Genelia in the female lead role.
