Sruthi turns mother in Avva

Sruthi Mahedra, who brought tears in the eyes of those who watched her in Sirivantha (starring Dr. Vishnuvardhan in the lead), will be now seen in Avva. Her role is that of mother to a teenage girl, and in this role, she ekes out a living by selling milk and lending money.

The movie, directed by Kavitha Lankesh, is based on an episode from the novel 'Mussanjeya Katha Prasanga' written by his father P. Lankesh. Vijay plays the male lead and newcomer Sruthi plays the female lead. In the film, Smrithi is the beautiful daughter of Anebaddi Rangavva (Sruthi).

The movie also casts Rangayana Raghu and Home Minister M.P. Prakash. Pyramid Saimira Theatre Ltd. is producing the movie.
