Real star Upendra has been popular in Telugu film industry as well. His Telugu film Kanyadhaanam was a major hit. The actor has been signed for a Telugu film Salute starring Vishal in the lead. The Telugu debut of Tamil hero Vishal is through a film being produced by GK Film Corporation, directed by Rajashekar with Upendra playing a challenging role. Will the role be more challenging than the role of Rudra, in his recent film, Anatharu? Wait and see.

Upendra's stupendous performance in Anatharu is reaping high benefits for the movie. His other major release this year would be Lava Kusha in which he shares screen space with Shivarajkumar.
