Vijay in Phani's comeback movie

After making a move to the small screen, veteran director Phani Ramachandra is back to the big screen. He is directing the upcoming film Matte Banda Ganesha. Vijay Raghavendra plays the male lead while Ananth Nag plays the character of Padmanabhacharya in the film.

Chinne Gowda produces Matte Banda Ganesha, which has Pragnya playing the female lead. The movie also casts Mukyamantri Chandru, Vishal Hegde, Neetu, and Vikram Soori. V. Manohar scores the music of songs penned by Jayant Kaikini, Kaviraj and V. Manohar.

Phani Ramachandra has been known for his socially-relevant comic films with Ananth Nag playing the lead in most of them.
