ambareesh the new president of KFAA

A meeting was held at R.V. Dental College, Jayanagar by the Members of the Kannada Film Artistes' Association to elect the new office bearers. Actor-politician ambareesh was elected as the president and Dr. Vishnuvardhan as honorary president of the Association; Shivaram is the treasurer.

The KFAA, which comprises of all the artistes in Sandalwood, will hold the election for other posts in a few days. The candidates for the vice president are Shivaraj Kumar, Upendra, B. Saroja and Ravichandran. The committee includes Sashikumar, Puneet Rajkumar Jaggesh and Darshan.

The meeting also decided to start construction of an office building for the association; the building is set to be completed by the end of 2009. The Kannada film industry will take a break for 15 days to celebrate the 'Amruthamahotsava'. All the artistes have decided to participate in the function organized by the KFCC (Karnataka Film Chamber of Commerce).
