Black,
produced
and
directed
by
Kannada
director
Mahendra
much-awaited
film,
starring
Manasi,
Naveen,
Sunil
and
Suresh
in
the
lead,
is
ready
to
grace
theatres
in
January.
Planned
to
be
a
complete
action
entertainer
with
some
thriller
elements,
Black
has
wrapped
up
its
final
stages
of
shooting.
Interestingly,
Mahendra
is
also
playing
a
key
role
in
the
film.
He
says,
"Black
is
about
the
colour
of
darkness
in
a
man's
life.
This
darkness
brought
about
by
corruption
is
found
everywhere." He
said
that
in
an
effort
to
highlight
different
aspects
of
corruption,
he
has
focussed
on
farmers,
education,
mid-day
meal
scheme,
liquor
and
government
hospitals.
The
film
has
four
youngsters
playing
college
goers
who
are
affected
by
the
all-pervasive
corruption
and
try
to
set
things
right.
Music
has
been
composed
by
lady
director
Bobby.
Notably,
the
film
has
an
item
number
song
penned
and
rendered
by
Karnataka
State
award
winner
Vani
Saraswathi
Naidu.
Kari
Subbu,
the
owner
of
Balaji
Digital
studio,
has
also
sung
a
song
for
Black.
Mahendra
revealed
that
he
is
currently
working
on
two
scripts.
One
will
be
a
fun-filled
stylish
action
entertainer
and
the
other
will
be
a
children's
film.
