Care Of Footpath: Best Children's film

Best Children's film award at the 54th National Film Awards goes to Master Kishan for his Kannada film, Care of Footpath. Interestingly, he is the world"s youngest filmmaker and was only nine years old when he made the film.

The film featured Bollywood stars like Jackie Shroff, Sourabh Shukla and award-winning actress Tara in the lead. Kishan himself wrote the story and screenplay and also played the lead role in the film. The story revolves around a boy who lives in the streets and his struggles to get into school.
