Vijay's Duniya to be remade in Telugu

Vijay-Rashmi starrer movie Duniya, which has made a record at the Kannada Box Office, is set to be remade in Telugu. Producer Ajanta Gopinath, who has produced hit movies like Donga Ramudu and Top Hero is producing the movie with all newcomers.

Newcomer Pavan from Sikandrabad is going to play the lead role and debutant Laxmankumar, who has worked as assistant to Mutyala Subbayya, will direct the movie. The producer is now in search of suitable actor for the role of encounter specialist.

Directed by Suri, the movie Duniya has released in February 2007 and has rocked the Box Office records. The movie has also got Filmfare Award for Vijay-Rasmi performance. While Kannada directors and producer are trying to remake South Indian movies in Kannada, this is the first attempt to remake Kannada movie in other language.
