Golden
Star
Ganesh
has
come
a
long
way
from
doing
soft
romantic
comedies
to
out-and-out
action
films.
In
the
forthcoming
Circus,
shot
mostly
on
a
running
train,
Ganesh
has
bravely
performed
dangerous
action
sequences.
For
one
scene,
he
had
to
hang
underneath
a
moving
train
inside
a150
metre
tunnel.
In
another
action
scene,
Ganesh
had
to
jump
from
one
compartment
to
another
while
the
train
was
moving
at
40
kmph.
"This
is
another
chilling
moment
when
I
was
holding
my
breath," he
said.
The
stunts,
directed
by
stunt
master
Ravi
Varma,
were
filmed
on
the
Gandhada
Gudi
Express
that
traveled
in
a
restricted
area
for
the
film.
The
producers
had
to
rent
the
train
and
the
route
for
the
train
had
been
prescribed
by
the
Southern
Railway
Department.
Interestingly,
Chandru,
who
acts
as
one
of
the
supporting
cast,
is
a
Railway
employee.
Director-producer
Daayal
has
spent
60
lakhs
for
the
20
day
shoot,
of
which
18
lakh
has
gone
to
the
Railways
as
caution
deposit.
Circus
is
director
Daayal's
pet
project
and
he
had
written
its
story
a
decade
ago.
It
was
only
when
he
met
Ganesh
during
the
shooting
of
another
film
that
they
seriously
discussed
and
thought
of
making
it.
