Ghauttham starts rolling

Shooting of Prem-starrer Ghauttham, directed by debutant Rajeev Prasad, son of award winning cinematographer R.N. Krishnaprasad and grandson of the legendary R. Nagendra Rao, begun yesterday (September 10). Rajeev Prasad has been working as an assistant for the past few years.

Malini Subramaniam of Bangalore-based Synergy Images, which specializes in web, animation and visual effects, is foraying into Kannada film production through this film, which will feature popular Malayalam and Telugu film actress Sarah as a heroine. Sarah, a Chennai-based model, recently debuted in Mollywood with De Ingottu Nokkiye, directed by veteran Balachandra Menon.

Vinaya Prakash and Sudharani will also appear in pivotal roles in Ghauttham. The screenplay and script are by noted Tamil director Suresh Krishna. Though the search for another hero is on, the rest of the star cast has been finalized. M.B. Babu, who has made some hit films like Soorappa and Kotigobba, is in charge of the movie.
