Gubbachichigalu comes to Goa

Director Abhaya Simha is a proud man today. His film Gubbachichigalu, first screened at the New York film and video festival, won the $2000 award for the best family feature film. Then the film went on to feature in the Los Angelos, Toronto and Kolkota international film festivals. Now, the latest stop for Gubbachichigalu is the ongoing IFFI in Goa.

Anu Prabhakar portrays the lead role in the film. Anu was apprehensive about the film but the director's enthusiasm made her accept the role. She is one actress who refuses to go the usual route of glamour but waits for roles that motivate her. The film's screenplay is written by the director and it is produced by B. Suresh in the banner of Creative Media Works. Earlier, Suresh produced Artha, which was also critically acclaimed.
