Jaaji Mallige takes off

Producer Anaji Nagaraj and Producer-distributor Jayanna have combined under the banner of JN Combines to launch a new film Jaaji Mallige which started its shooting on 2nd October at Kanteerava Studios. Ajay Rao and Gauri Munjal play the lead roles in this film directed by Anantha Raju.

Anantha Raju has already completed major portions of the shooting for Nanda starring hatrick hero Shivaraj Kumar and Mast Maja Maadi with five heroes including Sudeep who is doing a very challenging role. Komal, Nagashekhar, Bullet Prakash and Muni are the others in the cast. Sadhu Kokila is the music director of this film which has M.R.Seenu working as a cameraman.

Anaji and Jayanna revealed that the film is a remake of Tamil hit Devatheya Kanden starring Dhanush and Sridevi. "We liked the story and one novel point in that film. We thought that it would be good in Kannada also. We have made some changes to suit our nativity and have commenced the shooting. We plan to complete the shoot in forty days and release the film by December," said Anaji Nagaraj and Jayanna.

Anantha Raju said that he has finished the work relating to the two films except for small portions. "One song on Upendra and ten heroines have to be picturised for Mast Maja Maadi and we have to shoot songs of Nanda abroad for which preparations are going on. Anaji sir had watched me during the Mast Majaa Madi shooting and was impressed. He told me to direct this film also and said that I would not be put to inconvenience. I agreed to his request," said Anantha Raju.

Gauri Munjal said that she is very busy in the Telugu films and is returning to the Kannada film industry after a long gap.
