Power Star Pawan Kalyan's hugely awaited Telugu film Jalsa, which was supposed to be released on April 2, has been requested to release on April 4, throughout Karnataka. However, the film will be released on 2nd April in A.P., Orissa and abroad.
The decision for the delay in the release of this big budget venture was taken by the Karnataka Film Chamber of Commerce which wanted all the non Kannada films to be released on Friday.
It was earlier announced that Jalsa, which has Ileana in the female lead, would be released in Karnataka on April 2. This is against the rules of Karnataka film chamber of commerce. Kannada films are released on Thursday or Friday. For a few years some of the major Telugu films were released on Wednesay in Karnataka. Then KFCC made a rule not to allow other language films to release on Wednesday.
Satya In love producer Ramesh had opposed the release of Jalsa on Wednesay and requested KFCC not to allow more number of prints against the rules.
