jayamala elected KFCC president

On Saturday evening, Karnataka witnessed history being created as artist and producer, Dr. jayamala was elected as the first woman president of KFCC (Karnataka Film Chamber of Commerce). Producer jayamala is the owner of Soundarya Arts.

Dr. jayamala, in an interview to a website, said that she would work completely for the development of the Karnataka film industry.

The others elected are: V.H. Suresh of Mars Distributors as Vice-President from distributors" sector; T. N. Venkatesh (Rockline) and S.T. Anand as Vice-Presidents from producers' sector and exhibitors" sector respectively; S.A. Ra. Govindu, who owns Tanu Chitra, was elected Honorary Treasurer; N. Kumar of Srilakshmi Films, K. V. Vijayakumar of Sri Vinayaka Film Distributors, and Thomas D"Souza of Robin Theatre were elected Honorary Secretaries from producers" sector, distributors" sector and exhibitors" sector respectively.

32 more persons were elected as Committee members from three different sectors.
