Genelia's loss is Kajal's gain

Ready, the Ram-Genelia starrer, which was a world-wide hit, is now being remade in Kannada. Puneet Rajkumar has signed up for this light-hearted romance backed by a fail-safe script.

Though Genelia was originally approached, she couldn't allot dates as she was busy pursuing her Bollywood career, which seems to be poised for a great take off. This proved lucky for Kajal Agarwal, as the film's makers could not wait for Genelia to wrap up her other projects. So now Kajal Agarwal will play Genelia's role. Genelia have previously acted with Shivaraj Kumar in Sathya In Love, which was a major hit in Kannada.

Aditya Babu, who produced Jagadam, has bought the Kannada remake rights for Ready and Dhee for huge amounts.
