Maharshi takes off

Producer Praveen Kumar has now turned independent producer with a new film Maharshi which was launched on Monday at Venkateshwara Temple in Mahalakshmi Layout. Praveen Kumar had earlier made "Ugadi' and 'Panduranga Vittala' with Ganesh. Maharshi has Orata hero Prashanth in the lead and Kannada film industry's lucky heroine Pooja Gandhi playing the heroine's role. The film is being directed by Krishna Brahma who has worked as an assistant director to many top Telugu film directors.

Producer Praveen Kumar (Hassan Ramakrishna) said that he met Krishna Brahma on the sets of his own "Ugadi'. 'Telugu actor Srikanth who was acting in "Ugadi' had introduced Krishna Brahma to me. During one of our interactions, Krishna had narrated a story line which I felt was interesting. He has worked with many top directors and has a good hold on the technical side. I was impressed with his passion and readily agreed to produce the film if he delivers me the full script with dialogues. Krishna took some time and presented me with the whole script. Now, I am launching this film. Both Prashanth and Pooja Gandhi would fit into the roles perfectly' said Praveen.

Krishna Brahma thanked Praveen for giving him a big break to direct a film.
