There
may
be
an
unofficial
ban
on
Meera
Jasmine
preventing
from
acting
in
Malayalam
movies.
But
the
bubbly
and
very
talented
actress
is
hardly
out
of
work.
When
her
home
state
black-listed
her
and
refused
to
give
her
roles,
she
did
not
go
into
hibernation.
Instead,
she
has
found
new
places
where
she
is
needed
and
where
she
can
polish
her
already-proven
talents.
It
is
the
Kannada
and
Telugu
film
industries
that
have
taken
Meera
to
their
hearts
and
giving
her
wonderful
roles
to
perform.
In
Kannada,
Meera
is
currently
acting
in
Ijjodu
directed
by
renowned
filmmaker
M.S.
Sathyu.
She
plays
the
role
of
a
Devadasi
and
says
that
it
is
a
wonderful
experience.
She
has
also
bagged
another
film
titled
Devaru
Kotta
Thangi,
in
which
she
is
featured
in
the
role
of
Shivaraj
Kumar's
sister.
Devaru
Kotta
Thangi
is
being
directed
by
Om
Saiprakash,
who
has
done
two
movies
with
Shivaraj
Kumar
with
sister
sentiments
with
Radhika
as
his
sister;
since
Radhika
stopped
acting,
he
thought
that
Meera
would
be
a
good
replacement.
In
Telugu,
Meera's
next
release
will
be
Maa
Aayina
Chanti
Pilladu,
where
in
she
is
paired
up
with
Sivaji.
She
is
also
going
to
act
with
Srikanth
in
Yamagola
Mallivachchindhi
and
Aa
Aa
Ee
Ee.
She
is
also
working
with
Jagapathi
Babu
in
Bangaru
Babu.
Meera
was
banned
from
acting
in
Malayalam
films
when
she
refused
to
give
dates
for
the
Malayalam
movie
Twenty:20
produced
by
AMMA.
