Radhika Gandhi on cloud nine

Until a week ago, people identified Radhika Gandhi as the pretty sister of actress Pooja Gandhi. Now, with the release of Chikkamagaloora Chikkamallige, this Punjabi kudi has broken out of that mould and has found a name for herself. The film, directed by National Award winning director Channagnagappa is doing well since its release last Friday.

Radhika Gandhi plays the role of the granddaughter of a former king. Apart from veteran artistes like C.R. Simha, Bharath Bhagavathar, Avinash and Sharath Lohithashwa, there are other newcomers like Sharvan and Jagdish acting in the film.

Radhika is very happy that she has got a very important role in her first film. The title centres on her character and she has also done some risky shots for the film, based on a short story by Rabindranath Tagore and as beautiful as a poem. The film has been shot at never-before explored exotic locations; the film unit had to walk for hours to get to these spots. Radhika Gandhi is very confident about the success of the film and hopes to become a busy star just like her sister.
