Rakshitha's bundle of joy

Yesteryear glam queen Rakshitha gave birth to baby boy in Desai Nursing Home, Bangalore on 3rd November. She and her husband (director Prem) are elated along with their friends and family.

Rakshitha started her film career with the super hit Appu opposite Puneet Rajkumar. The film was later remade in Telugu with Rakshitha enacting the same role. She is the daughter of veteran Kannada heroine Mamtha Rao and cinematographer B.C. Gourishankar. She became the top actress in Kannada after Kalasipalya became a hit.

However, she bid goodbye to films after marrying top actor and director Prem.
