Ramya takes up Ullasa

Lovely Ramya (Divya Spandana in Tamil), who has a charming smile, will act in Ullasa, it was announced recently. One highlight of the film is that super hit Telugu stunt director Vijay, who has done films like Simhadri, Badri, Mass, Don and Jalsa is debuting in Kannada through this film produced by P. Nagaraj and K. Kamesh. The director is Prakash. Emil, music director of Nanda Nanditha fame, is scoring music for Ullasa. Jashwant is the man behind the camera; N. Dodde Gowda and T.R. Murali are the co-producers.

Ramya has just completed dubbing for her Tamil film Vaaranam Aayiram in which she shares screen space with Suriya and sultry Sameera Reddy. Two films of Ramya are running successfully in the theatres in Karnataka; Bombaat has Ganesh as hero and Anthu Inthu Preethi Banthu, remake of a Telugu film, has newcomer Aditya as hero. Ramya is considered the current reigning queen of Kannada. She made a mark in Tamil by acting in the super hit Polladhavan opposite Dhanush, which became a smash hit. She stepped into the Kannada film industry through Abhi with Puneet Rajkumar in 2003 and now, she is considered the golden girl of Sandalwood.
