Actress Ramya, who is known as Divya Spandana in the Tamil film industry, is in happy mood. Her forthcoming Tamil film Vaaranam Aayiram directed by Gautham Menon is awaiting release on November 14. The movie also stars Suriya, Bollywood actress Sameera Reddy and Simran in other lead roles. Ramya is supposed to have an important role in this film. The film is carrying very good reports and Ramya is happy about having got an opportunity to work with a top director like Gautham Menon.

While Varanam Aayiram has triggered huge expectation in the Kannada film industry, Divya or Ramya has now signed another Tamil film which is to be directed by Milind Rao, a one time assistant to Manirathnam.

Ramya had earlier acted in a few Tamil films like Kuthu with Silambarasan, Giri with Arjun and Pollaadhavan opposite Dhanush. Polladhavan became a smash hit and paved way for many offers to Ramya. But the actress preferred to concentrate on Kannada films and take only some prestigious projects in Tamil. Ramya has a good role in the film Varanam Aayiram and has better scope than Sameera Reddy, who will also be part of this film. She has dubbed her voice for this film and it is for the first time that she has dubbed for a Tamil film. It is heard that she agreed to do it after the insistence of the director.

Though Ramya was eager to dub many of her Kannada films like Meera Maadhava Raaghava and Jothe Johteyalli, she was turned down. However, she is now insistent on dubbing in her own voice in Kannada films too.

Incidentally Ramya is busy completing her work in Jothegaara which is now being shot in Hyderabad. Later she will be joining the Ullasa team in which she is teamed up with Motorbike expert Vijayakumar, who is playing the lead in this film.
