Sai Kumar's Citizen a bilingual

Dialogue King Sai Kumar's new film Citizen is being made in two languages-Kannada and Telugu. Sai Kumar is making every effort to get the film released before the Assembly elections in Karnataka, as he is also trying to get a ticket from one of the constituencies in Bellary district where the Kannada and Telugu speaking population are in equal numbers. Recently a court sequence was shot for the film in the Kanteerava Studios in Bangalore. The film is directed by Sai Prakash who is known for making tear jerker films. But Citizen which is being produced by Telugu producer C.V.Reddy is an emotional action film which is being made to boost Sai Kumar's image.

Sai Kumar has ensured that the major portions of the film has been shot in Bellary where he has made use of his closeness to BJP politician Janardhana Reddy. Sai Kumar is also a member of the BJP and has already canvassed for the party in the last Parliamentary elections. The music of this film is given by Vandematharam Srinivasarao. The talkie part of the film is now completed and now an item number song sequence has been planned for the film. Mumaith Khan who is known for her sexy item numbers will be featuring in this song which is to be shot in a studio set in Bangalore.

The film will be simultaneously released in Karnataka and Andhra Pradesh in the month of May. Sai Kumar wants the film to be a promotional vehicle for the BJP in the Assembly elections. Ashish Vidhyarthi, Jaiprakash Reddy and Ajay are the supporting cast; Thriller Manju has choreographed the stunt sequences of the film.
