Sona makes Kannada debut

Sona, who has already acted in 17 Telugu, 12 Tamil and 3 Malayalam films is finally making her debut in Kannada. She is cast as the sexy PA of Vishnuvardhan in Nam Yejamanru. Sona is all praise for the Kannada film industry and says that it is the best among South Indian film industries. She was down with fever and advised complete rest for a day, and so the shooting for the day was cancelled. If it had happened in any other film industry, she would have to slave on that day.

Born to a French father and Sri Lankan mother, Sona studied in Delhi and Pune. A graduate in Psychology, she also earned a one year diploma in Human Nature from London University.

Sona is doing different kind of roles including character roles these days and she likes to experiment. In Mrigam, she plays a glamorous role while in Kuselan she is paired with Vadivelu. Sona believes that a heroine's role does not come every day, so it is important to accept good films to sustain oneself in the industry.
