Ramu rains praises on Sudeep

The master of hits, Ram Gopal Varma has said that Sudeep is a superb actor and he fitted perfectly for his role in Phoonk. In an interview, RGV stated that he would continue to make films with star power and also cast actors like Sudeep who fit into the character quite well.

RGV said that Phoonk has shocked the industry by getting a 100% opening across the country. It has broken the concept that a film with no songs and no stars cannot be successful at the box office. He opined that it is the subject of the film which warrants whether you need a star or not. "You may not have stars but then, you should have a subject which is good enough for an audience to be enticed enough to walk into theatres, just like Phoonk did," he added.

Phoonk is a film about black magic with Sudeep in the lead role. The film had a grand opening on Friday the 22nd August and is all set to be a big hit. Sudeep, who is also a director in Kannada, will be elated by the success of his first Hindi film. He is currently busy directing and acting in Veera Madakiri.
