It's raining praises for Upendra

Kannada Super Star Upendra has created a big storm in the Telugu and Tamil film industries through his singular sterling performance in the films Salute in Telugu and Sathyam in Tamil. Both these films have a story line and are produced by the same producer G.K.Reddy and directed by debutant director Rajashekhar who was also a journalist before.

Rajashekhar was working in India Today when he went and interviewed Veerappan in forests and wrote about his experiences. This is the first time that he is turning as a director. Rajashekhar convinced Upendra to do this role and he had to come to Bangalore to meet the actor for more than ten times. Upendra was impressed with the story and agreed to act. His role of a former Police Cop Manickavel in Tamil film Sathyam and Pratap Rudra in Salute has been widely appreciated in the Telugu and Tamil media.
