Upendra says no to Tamil film

Real Star Upendra has refused another tempting offer from Tamil film director Vishnuvardhan who has been on a career high after the success of his recent film Billa. Vishnuvardhan was finalising the starcast of his new film 'Saravam' in which young actor Arya was to play the lead. But there was another important character in the film which was crucial to the story of the film.

Vishnuvardhan had Nana Patekar, Arjun and Mohanlal in mind when he had started writing the script. But when the script was gettig a final shape, some how he had thought that the role was suitable for Upendra. Vishnuvardhan flew to Bangalore and sought appointment from Upendra. But the Tamil director was not able to convince Upendra as to why he has to act in a Tamil film however significant the role is.

Upendra is presently acting in Telugu film"Salute' in which he is teamed up with Vishal and Nayantara. Currently the shooting of this film is now going on in Hyderabad.
