Vijay begins shooting Putta

Vijay"s new film, Putta, being directed by Om Prakash and produced by Pyramid Saimira Productions Ltd., went to floors on February 1. The action-packed commercial venture will have Hamsalekha scoring the music. Newcomer Smitha plays the female lead.

This is the second movie for Vijay with Pyramid Saimira Productions Ltd., the first being Avva directed by Kavitha Lankesh and based on an episode from the novel 'Mussanjeya Katha Prasanga' by P. Lankesh.
