Yediyurappa sanctions three KFCC demands

Karnataka Chief Minister BS Yediyurappa has sanctioned the three demands of Karnataka Film Chamber of Commerce on Thursday. Recently, a delegation comprising of the newly elected President of KFCC Dr Jayamala, Parvathamma Rajkumar, Rockline Venkatesh and SaRa Govinda had visited Karnataka Chief Minister BS Yediurappa and submitted their demand list. This delegation listed nine different points to improve the Film Industry.

Chief Minister BS Yediyurappa has agreed to grant three demands and include them in the forthcoming budget. The three demands are subsidy to all Kannada films except remake and sex film, establishing Cinema Academy and raising amount (from Rs. 15 to 25 Lakhs) of awards.

According to sources. CM Yediyurappa has also agreed to consider Anti Goonda Act to put an end to piracy in the state, site for senior artists and technicians, relaxing the Cinematography Act and other demands set by the delegation of KFCC.
