Aadi Lokesh files defamation case against TV9

Late actor Mysore Lokesh"s son, actor Aadi Lokesh has reportedly filed a defamation case against Kannada news channel TV9 at Bangalore Police Commissioner for publicly branding him cheat and trickster. He has claimed that the TV channel has depicted him as a real-life villain.

Earlier, a girl named Shalini, who was said to be an employee at a private software company in Bangalore, has visited the TV9 office. In her interview to the TV channel, she had said that Aadi Lokesh had hooked up with her while chatting on Internet. She had claimed that by promising to marry her, he had taken 85 grams of gold, which he returned when she filed a case against him at RT Nagar Police Station. He was even forcing her to give Rs. 10 lakhs.

The following day, Aadi Lokesh had visited the TV9 office along with his second wife Anusha to prove that he is not a fraudster. He had said that he did not know the girl and he had never chatted with her online. He had even claimed that the girl had allegedly filed a case against him at RT Nagar Police Station.

“When police called me to I visited the station, where she threatened me to spoil my celebrity image if I did not give her 85 grams of gold. Even police also helped her and forced me to give her 85 grams of gold when I reluctantly gave the gold to save my public image.

Shalini had hit back at his face stating that she was neither greedy of money/gold, nor she wanted to defame his image. She had helped him hoping to marry him while he was facing the hard times. When he got back with his second wife Anusha, she got disappointed and she visited TV9 office to get her justice.

However, it is not clear who has cheated whom. Bangalore Police Commissioner Shankar Bidari has order for an investigation of the case. He has even served a notice to TV9 as not broadcast anything about the incident till the investigation is completed.
