Aaptha Rakshaka costs Rs. 8 crores

Dr.Vishnuvardhan starrer Aaptha Rakshaka is one among the most expensive movies in Sandalwood. It is said that the movie is made with a budget of Rs. 8 crores. Directed by P. Vasu the film features five heroines: Bhavana, Lakshmi Gopalaswamy, Nikita, Vimala Raman and Sandya.

According to Dr. Vishnu, movie Aaptha Rakshaka is a not a sequel to Apthamitra. He says that his character and Avinash's character are the only ones, which have been retained from Apthamitra. But Srinivas Murthy, Komal and Ramesh Bhat are new entries. He adds that the film crew had some strange experience during shooting of the movie.

Director P Vasu says that Aaptha Rakshaka has the graphics and special effects of very high standards. It is one of the best graphical movie very much unlike what Kannada audience has experienced before. He adds that Guru Kiran has scored music for five songs. The original song 'Ra Ra, Sarasaku Ra Ra...' from Apthamitra has be retained. The film is set to release in January 2010.

However, Aaptha Rakshaka is Sahasa Simha Dr.Vishnuvardhan's 200th movie in the last four decades in Kannada Cinema. He had made his debut as hero in Nagarahaavu directed by legendary director Puttana Kanagal.
