Ramya bounces back in 2009

Ramya hasn't tasted much success in Sandalwood in 2008. Anthu Inthu Preethi Banthu bombed at the box office and Bombaat was only a moderate success. She was overtaken by other actresses like Pooja Gandhi. But she was noticed in Tamil for the hit Vaaranam Aayiram and this year, Ramya is determined to make a huge comeback which will place her again at the No. 1 spot.

Ramya's two films, Jothegara and Bhimoo's Bang Bang Kids, are already complete and expected to release soon. Now, 2009 has just started and she has already signed 5 films. At present, she is shooting for the Tamil film Kadhal to Kalyanam. Director Shashank of Moggina Manasu fame will make a movie with Ramya in the lead and she has alloted dates for Chaitanya"s next film with Chetan in the lead. She will also feature in films by Bharat and Sudeep. Gurudatt wants to remake the Tamil film Chitiram Pesuthadi with Ramya it is heard that M.S. Sathyu also wants to cast Ramya in his upcoming flick.
