The election scene is hotting up in Karnataka and rumour mills in Sandalwood have started churning out the list of probable cine candidates who will contest in the election. Topping the list are Ambarish and KFCC president Jayamala, who are said to be contesting with the Bharathiya Janata Party (BJP) tickets.
The surprise package is Ambarish, who is currently a member of the Congress party but is now heard to be planning to join the BJP, the ruling party in Karnataka. Ambarish has been thrice elected as Member of Parliament from Mandya Parliamentary Constituency. He was initially with the Janata Dal and later shifted loyalties to the Congress.
Unconfirmed reports suggest that Ambarish and Jayamala will probably contest from the Bangalore Central and Bangalore North constituencies.
