Andrita's allegations are baseless: Chandrashekhar

Director Nagathihalli Chandrashekhar has finally broken his silence over slapping actress Andrita Ray on the sets of Nooru Janmaku in Macau near Hong Kong and said that her allegations are baseless and he will not apologise to anyone as it was not at all his fault.

The director, who is from a highly disciplined background, claims that she was attending shooting two to three hours late everyday. It was the last day and even after calling many times, she came to set very late and he explained her sternly that she was getting paid for she better report on time. To which she pushed him first and in his defence, he pushed her back. Her allegations about slapping her are baseless.

It is well known to everyone that the first value Chandrashekhar brings into any of his movie is to respect women. He laughs off her claims of his sexual advances toward her. “She is half my age," says Chandrashekhar. “Infact, I have not used any foul language to anyone. I treated Andrita like a small child on the sets," he adds.

However, Nagathihalli has made it very clear that he will not apologise to anyone. He says, “If the Chamber (KFCC) calls me I will go and narrate to them the actual story."
