Producer
Basanth
Kumar"s
Kannada
movie
Gulabi
Talkies
has
got
Asian
International
Film
Award
and
it
has
also
won
a
National
award
in
Best
Regional
movie
section.
Recently,
lead
actress
of
the
movie
Umashree
has
bagged
Best
Actress
award
at
55th
Indian
National
Film
Award
for
her
performance
in
the
movie.
Now,
Basanth
Kumar
is
all
set
to
do
another
movie
called
Kanasemba
Kudureyanneri,
which
is
an
adaptation
of
Amaresh
Nugudoni"s
short
story
'Savaari".
The
story
is
set
in
the
north
Karnataka
region.
So
Basanth
Kumar"s
team
is
going
to
north
Karnataka
to
shoot
the
movie.
Before
leaving,
the
producer
shared
his
feelings
about
the
success
of
the
movie
Gulabi
Talkies
with
us
at
Oneindia.
Basanth
Kumar
said,
"I
had
expected
the
Best
Film
Award
for
the
movie
Gulabi
Talkies,
but
the
selection
committee
of
National
Film
Award
didn"t
give
much
preference
to
Kannada
films
this
year.
Anyway,
I"m
very
happy
with
the
Best
Actress
award
for
the
heroine
Umashree.
He
said,
“Working
with
director
Girish
Kasaravalli
was
a
wonderful
experience.
He
is
one
of
the
decent
directors
in
Kannada
film
industry.
We
are
really
proud
to
have
him
in
our
industry.
I
had
once
requested
Girish
to
do
a
movie
based
on
the
culture
and
language
of
north
Karnataka."
“Now,
I"m
getting
an
opportunity
to
fulfill
my
dream
through
the
short
story
of
Amaresh
Nugudoni.
My
forthcoming
movie
is
named
as
Kanasemba
Kudureyanneri.
The
main
intention
of
the
movie
is
to
promote
the
culture
and
language
of
north
Karnataka.
That"s
why
we
are
using
most
of
the
artistes
from
that
part.
I"ve
lots
of
expectation
from
the
movie," he
added
