Buddhivantha dubbed as Budhimanthudu

Upendra"s Kannada film Buddhivantha is being dubbed into Telugu as Budhimanthudu. The film is the remake of Naan Avanillai, which was released about 22 years ago by K. Balachander starring Gemini Ganesan in the lead role. It was remade recently featuring Jeeva, Sneha, Namitha, Malavika and others. The film has five heroines: Pooja Gandhi, Suma Ranganath, Saloni, Brinda Parekh and Natanya Singh.

Upendra appears in five different get ups in Budhimanthudu. The film was one of the biggest hits of 2008 which ran for 100 days in many centres. It is being brought to Telugu by P. Hanumanth Reddy and H. Lakshmikanth Reddy under the Balaji Productions banner.

A special screening of Budhimanthudu was conducted for the press recently. The film will release on Ugadi, 27th March
