C Ashwath honoured with Swara Mantrika title

Popular music director C Ashwath, who is known for his Kannada light music, has enthralled the music lovers of Mumbai in a music concert organised by Karnataka Association of Mumbai on 19 April evening. Ashwath along with his team enlightened the Mumbai Kannadigas with his light music for three hours in the jam-packed Shanmuganand Function Hall Mumbai.

Recently, the Karnataka Association of Mumbai had organised the music concert in memory of Amrutha Mahotsava in Shanmuganand Function Hall Mumbai. Bollywood and Marathi film producer-cum-director Kiran V Shantaram, who was the honourable guest, inaugurated the concert by lighting the lamp. He congratulated the Karnataka Association on the occasion of its Amrutha Mahotsava.

Popular Bollywood musician Ravindra Jain and Justice BN Shrikrishna facilitated him with shawl, fruits, flower and memento. He was also honoured with 'Swara Mantika' title by Shrikrishna on behalf of Mumbai Kannadigas on the same occasion.

Ashwath's music concert was organised by Vidushi Shyamala Prakash and Ahalya Ballal. His team included MD Pallavi, Supriya Acharya, Kikkeri Krishnamurthi, Ravi Muroor, Sangeeta Katti and Vinaya Kumar. The team sang the songs written by Shishunala Shariff, Kuvempu, DR Bendre, H Venkatamurthy and Champa. The music lovers enjoyed their music for three long hours.
